I need help. I’m addicted to these wonderful reusable shopping totes that I’ve found in the local boutiques around here. I’m also a sucker for Eco friendly, reusable shopping bags. Ya, I had a ton of reusable shopping bags from living in Japan and Texas so coming to Germany was a cinch, where bringing your own bags vice buying bags at the register is the norm. Ok, Texas is still warming up to the idea of bagging your own groceries into your own bags, but hey, it looks like Austin’s leading the way with their store ban on single use plastic bags.
I digress. About a year ago, I paid for an awesome heavy duty gray shopping tote that can hold at least 30 pounds without groaning. When I have to haul my goods up 51 steps and keep an eye out on an active preschooler, I only want to do it once. I will have to take a photo of that when I get home as it isn’t on my photo stream.
So the other day, while running errands, I came across a fab display of colors. In shopper totes. Be still my beating heart.
Ok, I’ve already cleaned out my favorite Hechtsheim shop, Tabula, of most of their stock.
A good pal has a penchant for these totes too and will find use for them in her new/old home in Hawaii. Both of us plan to gift them to loved ones in the near future, especially since there are so many color combinations and uses to fit nearly every personality.
This one is one of the larger totes available from Witzgall, that I previously blogged about here.
I’ve used it to tote clean laundry up from the laundry room when a basket isn’t handy. Bella’s used them to tote her show and tell toys to preschool. In fact, she claimed one that was meant for a gift!
I’m actually sitting in Der Mainzer cafe in nearby Mainz Gonsenheim, waiting for another fave shop, allerhand, to open for the afternoon. So I can pick up a couple more totes. For friends. Honest!
However, looking back at the photo, there’s a pretty blue one that I haven’t seen before…
